Meet Dr Caroline Murray

Dr. Caroline Murray is a highly respected veterinarian with a passion for providing care to animals in remote areas and promoting conservation efforts.

Caroline Murray is an accomplished veterinarian with more than 20 years of experience, having obtained a degree in Zoology and Veterinary Science from Liverpool University and a Masters in Australian wildlife and conservation from Murdoch University. Throughout her career, she has practiced veterinary medicine in various settings around the world, working with small and large animals, wildlife, exotics, and emergency cases. Caroline’s ability to speak and write French has also allowed her to provide veterinary services in remote areas of West Africa.

In addition to her veterinary work, Caroline is an avid traveler and adventurer who has participated in events such as the Iditarod sled dog race in Alaska, the Mongol Derby horse endurance race in Mongolia, and the Ride the Wild Coast horse endurance ride in South Africa. She has started writing travel articles and plans to write a book about her experiences.

Caroline is also interested in using her expertise to raise awareness about animal health issues through local media and hopes to work as a TV presenter for wildlife, conservation, and travel documentaries. She is a self-employed veterinarian in Blenheim, providing mobile veterinary services, and is open to collaborating with interested parties in the financial and IT sectors. Having faced and overcome significant mental and physical health challenges, Caroline is passionate about suicide prevention, mental health, and women’s health during perimenopause. She has also recently started creating online podcasts about veterinary work, traveling, and health issues.
